Outside of ordinary I always want to be

Not had much time or not really had a lot to say the last weeks. I think each day is rolling into another and the days come and then they go, so it just seems like Deja Vu.

This weekend has been different though in a lot of ways, Clair staying with me for the weekend, and a little bit of planning and getting together has been nice.

I was reminded that I hadn't blogged for a while, and probably because I am new to this game .....is it a game? wasn't sure that if things were really just rolling along like a nothingness, and if I hadn't thought interesting stuff was going on, should I be tapping away about nothing.

Not sure on this one ! the jury is still out on this little revelation.
Maybe having friends who have blogged for years, and a friend who reads before it goes out there suggesting things to me, and also  Viv  being asked about perhaps her starting one too and recording her journey through her fight in the cancer battle, and believe me.....you have to become a bloody soldier, I know I have been a recruit in that battle twice, has made me think.

That if I had been tuned into this blogging malarkey way back, I could have shared my meanderings through life, or would it in my case been then a different title like my Epic voyage on the ship of life encountering Tsunami's at sea, survival and drying the salt and water out of your eyes so you can see again.

What would that ship have been named to mirror  my voyage, there a few that do spring to mind. I wont say the obvious well I will, Titanic, Endeavour, ahh the Mary Rose.

The first two sunk and never surfaced again, but the Mary Rose, now this lady sank and stayed buried under slime silt and all the  unmentionables the Thames could throw at her.

Until one fine day she rose her head out of the abyss into daylight, and although her body was battered broken and the soul of her majesty and finery had long gone, her bones glistened with the spay of clean water to keep her splintered body once again intact and dignified. Yes I am  the MARY ROSE folks I sail lifes waters again.

So I ask myself maybe I should have blogged through those days of muddy waters and all the crap of life it throws up at you, and really blog from the real heart. The one that beats when tired, in pain, broken, and then would anyone really want to read, so perhaps I should write and see if it does help, to rehash the bones of the Mary Rose who knows, I will find out as I get better at this. Oh and you can leave comments and please let me know.

Well I will get back to this weekends exploits, after my reflection on blogging and yes I have listened friends to what you have said, and will try harder to write but not how I talk, not sure how ? is it my dialogue or accent, but will try honest Claire, and will tend to look what I have written and check, as Steve as my proof reader says I should,  and as it has so far escaped my attention to detail and grammar.

The weekend has been quite light heart, it was nice that Claire got to catch up with Viv and spend some nice time with her, we had a singing and dancing night on Saturday, with a chinky meal, but as my phone always translates as chunky.

We all chose songs that were memory songs, and sang and danced. Viv and I.....oh and just to throw this in the mix, when Viv left for her adventures in Spain years ago, my parting gift to her was a silver antique key fob. It was a little holder that victorians kept precious stamps in.

I had it engraved with Vivandi, and if she ever bought a place there to call it Vivandi. It could have been for her and Pete's but she was my soul mate leaving, and it was a reminder to me of her really, and the stamp case as a reminder the engraving was really VIV-AND-I to her I was only a letter away. Now sounding soppy I know but they said from the heart to write, and I will double check after.LOL

Getting back to the night of wine songs and dance, it should be wine women and song, well it was but we had our Steve in our little soiree, and nice that was as well as we danced and generally had a lovely time.

Every one played their part in fav songs of choice from their past, Steve is always the Mustang Sally, that has been his Fav karaoke song all over the world I suspect, I know it was in Spain, Vivs was a bit of Elvis, Claires a song which Train sang, can't remember title but know the song.

Mine was the water boys, The whole of the moon. and yes it will be played at my end. it is my heart song and feel it was written just for me.

Although the weather wasn't great Saturday we did have a few hours in the sun together on Friday, Claire had a tour of my Tin Pan Alley garden, and think she got pics of it at night, looking like Blackpool illuminations, then we went to Steve's for dinner, a gorgeous Chicken Stroganoff, and Pam if you read this you could be in for a treat next time you do fine dinning club at Che Bucktons, it was yummy.

Claire again with her camera took oodles of Photo's of Steve's house so on her blog you may get a grand tour of the Amis house, or should I say Bucktons residence.
Again another nice evening, Phil couldn't join us and think it was too late to invite Andy,  Viv was still a bit shaky and Sylvia was invited but was off like a cannon ball to see her grandbabies.

I so envy Sylvia  on that score I think I would have been a daughter or daughter in laws worse nightmare with grandchildren, chocolate and ice cream faces, muddy clothes paddling in brookes, sliding down grass banks, oh yes a bad Momma. My daughter thinks she is the responsible adult in our mother and daughter thingy, me I'm the child, but I never want to grow up I bloody well refuse to.

Oh and a fb memory of 1995 Rebekah's came up this weekend, and how I let her go to Glastonbury festival at 16, I was cool letting her, but dam I wanted to go too, she has been re living it on TV with the Glad-festivals showing, the one thing we have in common is rock festivals and David Bowie. Actually I have just given my pop up  festival tent away to Sylvia for her grandkids.

So Viv we ain't roughing it again.......or will we who knows, but we wont stop feeling like rock chicks hey Babe. And maybe just maybe, could we get to do the Valencia Beach rock festival, could ask Nick to accompany us sure he would. Join in the camps of all the other countries....just for their camp fire nosh that does not involve hot dogs and burgers.

Saturday was a shower and a sunny interval day, but as promised walked with Claire as I know this is one of her passions, and to be fair, I haven't for a while, I prefer walking with someone, I ought to join the walking club and then no excuse is there?

We walked into town, dodged the showers and down one of mine and Steve's walks along the canal, past the locks and then up by the lake, I think it was an ok walk for Claire, I may add this walk was with a broken little toe, I kid you not. I don't like pain to beat me but think may suffer the next few days, but the walk was good. Chip butties for a treat after.....

The broken toe was the result in wearing flip flops and pushing a shopping trolley any way it happened so we will move on, my friends think I was dancing on tables again, no idea how they could think that..........

Lots of activity bringing Claire's plans to fruition, a recky tour of where she will be staying over the winter months in Garrucha so a trip to Mojacar Pueblo in Spain just to help her suss the area out and make sure its ok.

I have been there and like the area, went with my friend Denise, she has a Villa not far from there, and as luck happened she popped over on Friday with her sister, so was able to enlighten Claire about the area which was helpful.

It worries me when recommending places you never can be sure if others will feel the same so fingers crossed.

I have not rushed this unloading or off loading which ever grammar takes your fancy, I have sat here with my two adorable fur babies, prancing jumping and using me as a spring board for all their nocturnal activities that I don't witness.

They are now sparked out as I should be, but no this Mary Rose is probably sailing down the Thames again in my minds eye....but with a life jacket on.

Which reminds me that we spoke tonight about Steve Andy and my horrendous fish tail boat ride not sure if I shared that experience with you but may do again, but Viv knows me so well that she knows she would have been safe cus panic! no not me it was all in hand with my plan to save us...I could see the life jackets at one end were looped together so my plan un hook em tie ends together kick Steve and Andy off the boat and chuck the makeshift life boat out and paddle till we were rescued...job done no panic.

May go to bed now or have a cuppa daylight is upon us and reading my blood thirsty novel, and blogging has still not allowed these eyes of mine tiredness, so cuppa it is and maybe an episode or two of white lines, cus have binged watched 3 series of Cardinal, all of gangs of London.

I really must pick out some more to  binge watch, prefer the Swedish drama's, and dutch ones more gritty than ours, I did love the Trilogy of the girl with the dragon tattoo novels...loved her kicking ass. On that note speak or tip tap laters.....Oh just to throw  in the mix 50 Shades of Grey was also on my book list quite a few years ago,  it was no Karen Slaughter novel but enlightening more men should have read it.......OK Yaah  enough said ladies you all know what I mean don't you ? admit it. She smiles like the Mona Lisa with her secret.

Just about to go to bed and Claire is awake and is making a cuppa,  its about 5.30 so no sleep and sit here chatting as you do about all insundry. Will maybe nap a little later.

My toe is giving me some discomfort and my foot is swollen now a little, have said I would do dinner for us but think it will be spag or shepherds pie don't feel like standing too much and limping as well, so roast is off the menu sorry Steve and Viv. Think that's enough for this blog enjoy if you are reading.

The only lock I need in my life.

As my picture depicts to many locks are around now, the shackles are on us all, so life again revolves around how we are going to cope. I se...
